In 2016, The Pew Forum ranked Texas as the 11th most religious state in the United States. In 2020, PRRI (Public Religion Research Institute) broke down the United States' religion demographics county-by-county. While Bexar County, where San Antonio is located, did receive a relatively high "Religious Diversity Score" (0.803), it remains dominately Christian among those who are religious (21% are religiously unaffiliated, a.k.a. "Nones"):
